How To Make An Elegant Skirt Casual

Happy Friday! Today I wanna show you one of my favorite skirts. It's kind of elegant because it's beige/gold and the fabric is brocaded, but if worn with flat boots and a cardigan it can make a chic but casual outfit for the office. Of course if you pair it with stilettos and a top it's a perfect date-night look. So you have plenty of choices.
Have a great weekend!

Another Shade Of Blue

Ciao! I've already published a post of me wearing blue nail polish from OPI, and I liked the color so much that I decided to buy another blue polish but of a darker shade. This one is from Essie and I think I like this color better. What do you think? Thanks for stopping by!

Black & Green

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! To start this week off the right way I wanna show you my work outfit. The weather is still a bit cold here, so my clothes are not exactly spring clothes, but I added a pop of color with the green cardigan. Hopefully I will be wearing spring colors soon! Have a good day!

Happy Hour Look

Hello, hope your week is going great! I want to share an outfit that I wore yesterday for happy-hour with my friends. I love the Gucci bag, I got it on sale many years ago and I adore it. I think it goes pretty well with the boots, they are both equestrian style. The earrings are Louis Vuitton and they are a present from a very good friend of mine. It's a set of 3 different earrings and you can have fun switching them. Let me know what you think of this look!

St. Patrick Inspired Mani

Hello and Happy Monday, I hope you had a great weekend! Tomorrow it's St. Patrick's Day, and I decided to do something to honor it. At my previous job I used to have lunch at an Irish pub and every year this week they would decorate all in green and have a big party. Now that I have a different job I don't get to go to lunch there anymore and I miss it. I also wish I could go to NY and see the Empire State Building with green lights, it must be amazing. Anyways, for my at-home mani I chose Essie's Going Incognito, I love this shade of green and I think it's office appropriate! Do you like it?
Have a great week and Happy St. Patrick's day to the Irish community out there.
Love, Fede

Spring Accessories Inspiration

Happy Friday! Spring is almost here, the weather in Milan is sunny and it's starting to get warmer every day. That inspired me to go look for spring accessories that are colorful. I like pastels but also bright colors and I love floral patterns. I can't wait to put my winter jacket and shoes back in the closet and start wearing sandals, dresses and sunglasses. What do you think about my choices? Do you have any other suggestions?
Have a great weekend!

Sponge Roll With Whipped Cream & Strawberries

Hi everyone! Today I wanna share a recipe I tried last weekend for a family dinner. It was the first time for me to try and make sponge cake, I was nervous! But actually it turned out to be quite easy, so you all can try this recipe. Let me know!

Ingredients for the sponge roll:
120 gr flour
120 gr sugar
4 eggs
pinch of salt
vanilla extract
confectioners sugar

Ingredients for the filling:
heavy cream
strawberries

Preheat the oven at 180°C

While the eggs are still cold separate the yolks in one bowl and the whites in another bowl.
Place the egg yolks along with the sugar in your electric mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment. Beat on high speed for five minutes, or until thick, pale yellow, and fluffy. Then beat in the vanilla extract. Sift the flour over the beaten egg mixture and fold in gently with a rubber spatula, just until the flour is incorporated.
In a clean bowl, with the whisk attachment, beat the egg whites with the salt until foamy. Gently fold the whites into the batter.

Line a pan with parchment paper. Pour the batter into prepared pan, spreading evenly with a spatula. Bake for about 10 minutes at 180°C or until golden brown. Immediately upon removing the cake from the oven sprinkle with confectioners sugar and then invert the cake onto a clean dish towel. Remove the parchment paper, sprinkle with confectioners sugar, and roll up the sponge, with the towel. Place on a wire rack to cool.

Place your mixing bowl and whisk attachment in the freezer for 15 minutes. Then place the whipping cream, into the bowl and beat until stiff peaks form. Add the strawberries and fold gently with a spatula. I also added cinnamon because I love it!

Unroll the sponge, spread with the cream and reroll. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Just before serving, dust with confectioners sugar e decorate with the remaining strawberries. Enjoy!

Little Black (Sparkly) Dress

Happy Friday!!! I'm so happy it's finally here, this week has been so busy I really need to relax this weekend. But I also need to have fun and go out! This dress is one of the options for saturday night. The sleeves are faux leather and the dress is sparkly, it's perfect to go to a club. Did I ever tell you that I dance salsa? I think I will go dancing and this dress is perfect for a saturday night outing. How do you think I should style it? Pumps or boots? What kind of bag? Seeking your advice here :)
Have a great weekend!!! Have fun!

In My Make-Up Bag

Hello and happy hump day! Recently I've made a very nice discovery at my local mall. I was browsing make-up stands and my sister told me about this brand, Essence. She said they make really good products at a great price. I was skeptical at first but I gave them a try. I have to admit it, the quality is amazing and the price is even more awesome. The make-up stays on all day, and they do what they promise. You can find their products in Europe and in the rest of the world. Let me show you what I'm using these days, as you can see my make-up is always very light, I don't like heavy make-up, I think it makes you look older.

Compact powder (very light and easy to apply)
Bronzer (gives that glow to your skin)
Blush (makes that rosy cheeks pop)
Cream concealer (I use it for the under-eye area, it covers perfectly)
Eyebrow gel mascara (this is fantastic to shape eyebrows!)
Eyebrow styler (makes them look fuller)
Eyeliner (stays put all day, very easy to apply)
Mascara (false lashes effect!)
Lipgloss (very shiny, not sticky)

Make-up bag: Prada

This is the result for a very natural look!

Weekend Look

Happy Monday, hope you had a great weekend! Mine was fun! I went out for happy hour with my girlfriends and this was the look I chose to wear. As you will notice I also cut my hair much shorter, I opted for a long bob style (aka LOB). What do you think about it? Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
