6 Months

Ciao everyone, hope you are doing fine and enjoying these weeks before Christmas.
I have recently celebrated my 6th month here in HK, and it’s been a crazy ride. I am so happy to be flying home to Milan for the Holidays very soon. I can’t wait to see my family and my dog Chloe. And it’s gonna be hard to leave them again for at least other 6 or 7 months before my summer holidays.
These months have been the most rewarding experience of my life, but also the hardest. It’s not easy to move to another continent with such a different culture, especially having no friends. Now that I have a few good friends and I have met many new people, my life here is very exciting and I am always out for dinner, movies, drinks, rooftop barbeques, beach days, hikes, travel.
I think that surrounding myself with good friends and making them my second family is key to feeling really good here. And that is what I am trying to do. Not always easy, people come and go here.
I have had moments where I just wanted to cry my eyes out, but instead I forced myself to smile and be positive. I have a great opportunity here and I am doing my best to live every moment to the fullest. I decided to get myself a present as a reminder to always smile. And so I got this Tiffany necklace from the T collection. It’s not only beautiful, but also it gives a great message of positivity. The bag is also new and I adore it.
Hope you like my look, and I wish you all a Happy Holiday Season with your loved ones.
Always be positive!
Love, Fede

I Fell In Love With Céline

Ciao! I know, it's been too long... Last month I moved to a new apartment and it was probably the hardest thing I have done here in HK and in my life. But it's also very satisfying to do things on my own without help.
Anyways, this is why I haven't posted in a long time. My life here is hectic and I'm still adjusting.
But now let me show you my latest gift to myself, the Céline Edge bag! I love it!!!
Hope you like my outfit and my new bag.
Have a great week!
Love, Fede

Happy Hour In Kowloon

Ciao! Hope you are having a great week! Well, here in HK we are about to have a typhoon…it is my first one, so it is scary to me, everyone else is excited because you get the day off from work…we’ll see how it goes…
As the weeks go by I am getting more and more adjusted to this beautiful city. It’s wonderful how in a very few days you can meet like 10 new people, who introduce you to other new people. And since most of us are expats we understand each other's needs and we are all very open to helping and making new friends.
Last week I got this gorgeous Fendi bag with great discount! It’s the perfect bag for work and also for everyday life, so casual and classy. You know I arrived in HK with just one piece of luggage, so I couldn’t bring more than one handbag with me. I really needed a new one. I can’t wait for my family to send me all of my bags from Milan! Anyways, I was so excited for this new bag the next day I was already wearing it. In the pictures you see me at ICON Hotel in Kowloon, I go there for happy hour by the pool terrace.
Hope you guys like my new bag and outfit.
Enjoy the rest of the week!
Love, Fede

A Gift To Myself

Ciao everyone! Sorry for this long hiatus, unfortunately I have been so busy adjusting to my new life and job in Hong Kong that I couldn’t find time to post.
But today I’ve got something to show you! I have waited a while to purchase something here because life in HK is kind of expensive, but I felt like I deserved to give myself a nice gift because these 2 months have been very challenging and I am actually proud of myself for what I am doing all alone.
So please say hello to my new favorite pouch, the Balenciaga Metallic Edge. I chose this color because it goes with everything, and I wanted something different from the usual black for a change. Here in HK clutches and pouches are very popular, especially when you go on lunch break because you don’t wanna carry the whole heavy purse. And it will also be a great accessory for a night out on the town, it’s so classy but with an edge!
What do you think? Hope you love it. And another new thing is my new Iphone SE in gold, so now I will take even better selfies with it!
Have a great weekend!
Love, Fede

Hong Kong Diary, The First Month

Hello everyone, so sorry for not being able to write for such a long time but my life was completely turned upside down when I moved to HK 4 weeks ago and there were so many things I needed to figure out, and actually I still need to. Everything is so different here from Europe, the culture, the food, the weather, work. I arrived 4 weeks ago and I had a week to adjust before I started working at my new job. During that week I was not able to relax at all. Yes, I played tourist a little bit but I had to do so many things like open a bank account, subscribe for a mobile phone contract, buy things for my room (for 2 months I will be sharing with friends, then I’ll find a permanent place). HK is a beautiful city, has so much to offer, but I have to say it’s difficult to adjust immediately. If you think NY is a busy city, then you have never seen HK. People are always in a rush, streets are busy at any time, people drive like crazy, and to complicate things weather can be very bad, with typhoons and thunderstorms. I have learned to always bring an umbrella with me, even when it’s sunny. I also keep rainboots in the office and a rain jacket. It’s so hot and humid that I can’t figure how to manage my curly hair.
Well, this is the difficult part. Aside from that, this is an incredible opportunity for me as a professional and as a person. Working in English is not easy and I am the only foreign person on my floor, but I am learning so much. I am starting to love this city, there is always so much to do and to choose from, restaurants for every budget and of great quality, the beach is so close that I can go every weekend. Many buildings have gym and swimming pool.
What I haven’t told you yet, and the best part, is that I work for a luxury retailer, so this means staff discounts!!! I haven’t bought anything big yet, just a perfume and make up. But I am waiting for the big staff sale, to which I will add my staff discount, to buy something really big like a luxury bag or a jewel.
Also for a while I won’t be able to post good pictures of my outfits because I don’t have a full mirror in my house, I’ll try and ask my friends to take pictures of me. But I promise I’ll get a big mirror when I move to the new place and start posting more pictures again. I can’ wait to show you my HK looks.

Hope you are having a great time!
Love, Fede

Almost There

Hi and Happy Friday!
I will begin my adventure in Hong Kong in 2 weeks, I'm so nervous!
I think that packing up my Milan apartment is the most difficult thing. I am renting it out to another person and I don't really like the idea of someone else living in my home.
But when I'm in HK I will have little time to worry about it.
Now I have to start thinking about packing my suitcase, and deciding what to bring and what to leave here, that's another difficult thing.
What do you think of the dress that I'm wearing? I think it should definitely come with me to HK!
I love the color, and it's so comfortable and cute.
Please forgive me if in the upcoming weeks I won't be able to post, I'll be so busy with the move, and then the first weeks in HK will be very hectic. Luckily I will have one free week there to be just a tourist and explore.
Have a great weekend!
Love, Fede
